Celebrating Stores #647, #664 and #337

On April 4, 2025, we welcomed Store #647 in East Boynton Beach, FL!

The new Sprouts in Boynton Beach welcomed over 250 customers in line before doors opened Friday morning, kicking off a strong Grand Opening weekend. Located in a recently renovated shopping center with established neighboring retailers and restaurants, the store drew steady foot traffic and positive feedback from local shoppers.

This is the second Sprouts in Boynton Beach, and many customers expressed appreciation for the added convenience. While overall weekend transactions, sales, and basket sizes came in below forecast, the store met transaction goals on Friday and basket goals on Sunday—highlighting strong single-day performance.

On April 11, 2025, we welcomed Store #664 in Poinciana, FL!

The Grand Opening of Sprouts in Poinciana exceeded both sales and traffic goals, marking an impressive start for the new location. The combination of traditional media efforts along with an extended outreach strategy helped drive customer engagement, resulting in the highest traffic we’ve seen for a Sprouts Market Grand Opening Day 1.

Produce took the spotlight as the top-performing department, with the Tasting Bar experiencing such high levels of customer interaction that the team had to prepare additional produce samples to keep up with demand. The team also made the customer experience a top priority by efficiently managing store capacity, which was reached on both Friday and Saturday, ensuring a smooth shopping experience for everyone. Customers were excited about having a convenient, healthy grocery option in the area, especially since the nearest specialty grocer is over an hour away.

On April 11, 2025, we welcomed Store #337 in Aurora, CO!

Grand Opening weekend for Store #337 was a snowy one! The cold weather and snow did not keep excited new customers away from our Grand Opening event.

With new residential development set to open directly behind the store in late 2025 or early 2026, we see significant potential for increased foot traffic and customer engagement in the coming years.

Honored to Serve and Team Sprouts at Pat’s Run

On Saturday, April 12, Honored to Serve and Team Sprouts proudly participated in Pat’s Run in Tempe, Arizona—a 4.2-mile race honoring the life and legacy of Pat Tillman. The event brought together thousands of runners, volunteers, and supporters to celebrate Pat’s enduring values of service, leadership, and sacrifice.

Team Sprouts showed up in full force, running through the heart of downtown Tempe and finishing strong at the 42-yard line of ASU’s Sun Devil Stadium.

Volunteers from Honored to Serve and Sprouts also stepped up in a big way, helping at the Sprouts Booth and Route Water Station. Their energy, support, and early-morning dedication (some arriving as early as 5:30 a.m.) helped fuel runners throughout the morning and made the event a success.

Thank you to everyone who joined us—whether you ran, volunteered, or cheered from the sidelines. Your participation helped honor Pat Tillman’s legacy and support the Pat Tillman Foundation’s mission to empower remarkable military service members, veterans, and spouses.

For more on Pat’s story and ways to stay involved, visit the Pat Tillman Foundation website.

Hear from Past Recipients

Dan Pike, Senior Human Resources Data & Reporting Analyst, Store Support
Recipient: Dan’s Daughter, Nikole

Nikole is currently earning her undergraduate degree in Biology at Arizona State University and plans to go onto PA school to become a Physician Assistant after she completes undergrad.

“I first heard about the scholarship on the Vine! And then I learned more about talking about it with other members of the HR team (Michelle Taylor and James Boothe). This is a wonderful benefit of working for Sprouts,” said Dan. “Whenever Nikole talks to people about how she is paying for school, she always mentions Henry Boney and talks about how glad she is that I work at Sprouts!”

Mayra Salinas, Benefits Coordinator, Store Support

“Going to school and paying for tuition is not easy, especially with a family. My manager talked about the opportunity to apply for a scholarship and I am glad I took her advice. Sprouts team members should take advantage of this great opportunity and apply for the Henry Boney Scholarship,” noted Mayra.

Mayra used the scholarship to pay a portion of her tuition at Grand Canyon University.

Scott Ketelhut, Loss Prevention Manager, Store Support
Recipient: Scott’s Daughter, Kaitlin

Kaitlin is currently earning her undergraduate degree in Medicine at the University of Arizona (Go Cats!) and will be studying abroad in Madrid, Spain this summer shadowing doctors there.

“I earned my degree with the help of a former company I worked for and was happy to see Sprouts also offered educational support when I joined 8 years ago,” said Scott. “With the cost of higher education growing each year, everything helps! Applying for this scholarship allowed us to stretch the funds we have set aside for Kaitlin’s college fund to allow her to take advantage of the Study Abroad program!”

Precious Pickett, Administrative Coordinator, Store #136

“Before I completed my Retail Management Certification last fall, I started contemplating my next educational endeavor,” noted Precious. “A few of my co-workers encouraged me to apply for the Henry Bonney Scholarship after I enrolled in the Houston Community College Human Resource Certification program. My goal is to take the Professional in Human Resource exam by the end of the year.”

“I encourage all Sproutie team members and their families to apply for the Henry Boney Scholarship. It provides financial support for higher educational goals such as seeking a college degree or certification. Education is a valuable resource. Receiving the scholarship has allowed me to continue my career development and it reduced my concerns related to loans and borrowing money. I feel incredibly blessed to have been chosen.”

Rashell Wall, Receiver, Store #114

“This was the second time I received the Henry Boney Scholarship (the first time was in community college in 2009 and that was towards my associate degree),” Rashell shared. “I did ultimately have a change of heart from going into the nursing field and ended up relocating to Texas in my early 30’s. I have always had a passion for helping others and in science and nutrition, which aligns with Sprouts background of a healthy lifestyle. A former vendor mentioned looking into Medical Billing and Coding as a side job/career. I decided one day that I would feel better about completing a certification and was able to do so all online.

Nothing is cheap these days, but I do know that education is most certainly something that can’t be taken away from us as a society and strongly urge anyone with a desire to complete tasks to apply for this program. It is something that the company has generously offered and would be great to shine some more light on what sort of an impact it has had on me personally, as a long-term team member here.

I strongly encourage parents and team members to apply it is very simple and can be used for tuition, books and other needs that are related to education. I am most certainly thankful to have been awarded this and am appreciative for the past and current positions here with Sprouts.”

Celebrate Earth Day 2025

Earth Day is on Tuesday, April 22. Whether you’re a nature lover or just looking to make a positive change, Earth Day is the perfect time to get involved and do something good for the environment.

So, how can you make a difference this Earth Day? There are tons of fun and easy ways to get involved:

  • Go Green: Start using reusable bags, water bottles, and containers. Small swaps like this can reduce plastic waste and help our oceans.
  • Plant a Tree or Garden: Trees absorb carbon and provide oxygen, and planting a garden is a great way to support local wildlife and create a beautiful space.
  • Clean Up Your Community: Organize or join a local cleanup to keep parks, beaches, or streets free from trash. It’s a simple way to give back to your neighborhood.
  • Try a Sustainable Activity: Walk or bike instead of driving, or choose plant-based meals to reduce your carbon footprint.

Earth Day isn’t just for one day—it’s a reminder that every day is an opportunity to show Care for our planet. So grab a friend, get outside, and find your way to help make the Earth a greener, cleaner, and more vibrant place for everyone!

Time to Set Goals for 2025

March 27, 2025

Hi Team,

It’s that time of year – goal setting for 2025.

This year, we’ve made an important shift: part of the short-term incentive in the Store Support Office is now tied to company performance—not just individual results. Why? Because when we focus on the same outcomes, we make a bigger impact, and we do it together!

If you’re in a store or supply chain role, you’ll continue working toward the goals set by your leaders—just like you’ve been doing.

If you’re setting individual goals this month, connect with your leader to make sure you understand the priorities for your team, your department, and Sprouts as a whole. Great goals don’t just reflect your role—they support something bigger.

Reflection:

  • What’s the work that matters most this year for me, my team, and Sprouts?
  • How do my goals support what my leader and department are driving toward?
  • What does success look like—and how will I know I’ve made an impact?

Action:
Use the SMART framework to write strong, focused goals—and enter them in Workday by April 16.

Let’s aim high and deliver another great year for Sprouts.

Thanks,
Timmi

Once here, she remarried and had my brother, she worked a morning job and then another shift in the afternoon, sometimes until midnight to be able to put a roof over our heads and food on the table. ASU Masters Students Tour Glendale DC

Check this out!

80 students and faculty from Arizona State University’s Sustainable Food Systems program visited the Glendale, AZ Distribution Center for a tour that sparked their curiosity about food systems and sustainability. The group, split into three smaller tours, explored key topics including store and DC operations, the customer order lifecycle, Vocollect execution software, inbound and outbound transportation, quality control, fruit ripening, and sustainability efforts, such as recycling streams for various commodities.

In addition to the distribution center, students also toured Store #20 and Duncan Farms, getting an inside look at how Sprouts sustainable practices come to life in our stores and the supply chain.
