The Illuminators Educational Foundation provides college scholarships to further the education of members and families of the Illuminators, Western Association of Food Chains, and the California Grocers Association. All Sprouts team members who meet the criteria below are eligible for this scholarship opportunity!
You are eligible if you are a high school senior, full-time college student with one or more years of undergraduate or graduate work remaining, or an adult returning to college to further your career within the food industry.
Must be: (a) employed in the food industry or (b) a direct relative of a current organizational member of the llluminators, llluminators Educational Foundation, California Grocers Association, or Western Association of Food Chains.
Selection Criteria for all scholarship candidates ($2,500 University level and $1,000 community college level scholarships):
High School seniors and full-time college students, with one or more years of undergraduate (community college or university level) or graduate work remaining:
Analysis of high school/college GPA, school and community activities, moral character, and the submission of an essay on either of the following prompts:
• What qualities in a company encourage you to work for them?
• How do you see yourself making a difference in another person’s life?
Working adults – new or returning to college (community, undergraduate, or graduate level) to further their career within the food industry:
Analysis of most recent academic GPA, school and community activities, moral character, and the submission of the following essay prompt:
• Describe your career path and the ultimate results you aspire to achieve.
Essay can be submitted in writing or as a video. Details are posted on the website when you log in to apply.
Applications must be submitted complete (no exceptions) no later than March 1, 2021. Final selections will be announced by the llluminators scholarship committee no later than April 1, 2021.
