Take Part in Earth Month at Sprouts!

It’s Earth Month and Sprouts Cares about our communities – the smaller ones we live in, and the larger one – our planet!

Earth Month takes place during April every year. It’s a time to raise environmental awareness and create consciousness around the issues that affect mother nature.

This year, there are several ways Support Office and Field team members can celebrate Earth Month, and better yet, take action to do some good!

Sprouts Is Rescuing Food!

Did you know that 32 billion pounds of produce goes to waste each year? April 10 – 16, 2023, is National Food Waste Prevention Week. Learn how you can reduce food waste, how food waste impacts our environment, and what Sprouts is doing to help! Read more

New! Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Available!

We’re pleased to announce that three Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations are now available for Sprouts Support Office team members! These spots are in the basement of the main parking garage off 54th street near the IT building. Spaces #1, #4, and #5 are the designated spots, and they’re available on a first-come,
first-park basis!

UPCOMING SPROUTS EVENTS IN APRIL

Zero Waste Initiatives & Team Member Gift To further support Sprouts zero-waste initiatives, the Support Office is moving away from single-use utensils and dishware in breakrooms. All Support Office team members will be gifted with a reusable utensil kit to use at the office! Look forward to receiving the kit with a sturdy knife, fork, and spoon with its own a carrying case.
Bring Us Whatcha Got! Earth Week – April 17 – 21 – UPCYCLE Do you have unused plates, bowls, or utensils at home? Upcycle! Bring them to the Support Office to use in our breakrooms! Make sure dishes are clean with no chips or cracks. Drop them off at the breakroom on your floor, and volunteers will organize them.
Bring Us Whatcha Got! Earth Week – April 17 – 21 – RECYCLE Recycle your old computers, cell phones, batteries, and other small electronics for recycling. Bring them in to the office for recycling. Items will be donated to Az StRUT for recycling. Bins will be in 3rd Floor Breakroom. Drop unwanted items in the bins.
Get Trashy: Trash to Treasure Art Contest! Earth Week – April 17 – 21 Transform, reuse, or repurpose old or unused items that you would normally toss out, and turn them into a work of art! Share a picture of your finished transformation! Send to SproutsEvents@sprouts.com by April 21, 2023. Winners will be selected on April 25, 2023. First, Second, and Third place winners will be awarded with awesome zero-waste inspired prizes. Winners will be notified by email.
Learn About Composting From Recycled City Tuesday, April 18, 2023 Recycled City (our Support Office compost provider) will be here on April 18 from 9am – 1pm to provide team members an opportunity to learn more about home composting and potentially sign up for the service.
Volunteer for the 56^th Street Clean Up Crew Wednesday, April 19, 2023 From 7am – 8am Head outside to pick up trash around the Sprouts support office. Please dress comfortably and wear closed-toed shoes. Gloves will be provided for cleanup. Sign up to volunteer.
Lunch & Learn Hosted by Waste Management Recycling & Composting 101: Thursday, April 20, 2023 Learn all you can about recycling and composting from representatives of Waste Management. Workshops 1 & 2, 12pm – 1pm. Space is limited, so reserve your spot by signing up now. Note: Because space is limited, spots are only available to the first people who sign up.
