Clear out the clutter & Spring into a fresh start

Spring is here, and it’s the perfect moment to prune the clutter! In the spirit of spring cleaning—and our upcoming move—you’ll find extra trash bins on every floor this week. Take a few minutes to clear out the old and make room for a fresh start in our next space.

  • Soft plastics: If you’re clearing out any soft plastics, set them aside — we’ll send them back to the DC for proper recycling.
  • Reusable bags: Have extra Sprouts reusable bags piling up? We can gather those and donate them to our Support Office food bank partner, or save them for a reusable bag drive we will host around Earth Day!
  • Compost: For anything compostable that won’t fit in the Mill bin, we have larger compost barrels in the back that can handle the overflow.
  • E‑waste: Electronics can’t go in the trash. We’ll collect those separately, and they’ll be recycled during our Earth Day e‑waste event.
  • Donate vs. toss: If something is still in good shape, try to donate or recycle it before throwing it away.

Our sustainability team is here to help! They will sort through what each floor collects to make sure items go to the right place whenever possible. If you have any questions, please reach out to Natasha or Jared.

Group Walks on High Street

Step into spring and get moving with guided walks led by our very own Walk Leaders! Join us on High Street at 10am and 2pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for a refreshing break.

These walks are designed to help you reset, recharge, and reconnect with why we’re here—to help people live and eat better.

Come as you are, walk at your own pace, and bloom a little brighter each day. Want to add more movement to your week? This is an easy, feel‑good way to start.

Appreciation Station

Ready to plant some good vibes? Visit the Appreciation Station, choose a flower notecard, and let a teammate know how they’ve helped you grow. Tiny notes, big impact!

Here’s how it works:

  • Flower Note Cards: Use these to share your message.
  • Display Boards: Notes will be added to boards on each floor for everyone to enjoy.
  • Extra Raffle Ticket: Each note you write earns you one additional raffle ticket for the raffle drawing!

Celebrating Women’s History Month: Stories of Service

This March, our Inspiring Women @ Sprouts and Honored to Serve @ Sprouts TMRGs are teaming up to spotlight an incredible group of team members: our Sprouts female veterans!

Each week, we’ll share a new story from one of our own—highlighting the courage, leadership, and grit they brought to the military and continue to bring to Sprouts every day. Their journeys are inspiring, empowering, and a reminder of the strong women who help our teams and communities thrive.

We’re excited to celebrate their service, hear their stories, and cheer them on—Sproutie style!

Check back each week for a new featured veteran. 🌱

Featured Veteran of the Week

Mickey Abler, U.S. Army — Watercraft Engineer (61C)

Store Manager | Team Member since 2009

Military Service

  • Branch: U.S. Army
  • Role (MOS): 61C Watercraft Engineer
  • Years Served: 4 years

Skills That Carry Into Sprouts

Mickey brings a strong set of military‑shaped skills to her store every day, including: Thinking on her feet, active listening, strong communication, and responding to situations with the best possible outcome in mind.

How Her Military Experience Helps Her Thrive at Sprouts

Her time in the Army taught her to stay flexible, adapt quickly, and step into new locations or departments whenever needed. Accountability — much like Sprouts’ value of Owning It — has been a steady guide throughout her career. Her service also reinforced the importance of clear communication and supporting her team through change.

Women Who Inspire Her

Mickey draws strength and guidance from the remarkable women in her life:

  • Her mom — a military spouse of 21 years who raised five kids around the world. She modeled resilience, joy, creativity, and the belief that you can do or be anything. Even now, she continues to guide Mickey.
  • Her grandmothers and aunts — constant influences whose strength and warmth shaped her outlook.
  • Her sister, Kate — a grounding, insightful presence who encouraged her to pause, reflect, and think before reacting. Though she passed at a young age, her influence is still felt every day.

Previous Spotlights…

She plans ahead, stays composed under pressure, and adapts to last‑minute changes with resilience and grace. No matter the challenge, she keeps the mission in focus and gets it done.

Women Who Inspire Her

  • Her mom, Kelly — “for obvious reasons.” 🌼
  • Her mother‑in‑law, Karen — a retired NASA engineer who helped break barriers for women in aerospace.
  • Astronaut Shannon Walker — a family friend and a powerful example of strong female leadership.
  • Adrienna Repin, Store Manager (Store 515) — a leader who pushed Brandy to grow and always believed in her.

Women Who Inspire Her

“There have been many female mentors during my career, but I have to give the most credit to my father who was a Vietnam Veteran and my grandfather who served in WWII and Korea. They are the reason I wanted to serve!”

Celebrating Stores #119, #187, #894, and #830!

2026 is already looking pretty fresh. In January, Sprouts opened four new stores—two in Texas, one in Virginia, and one very exciting first for us in New York. From familiar ground to brand‑new territory, these openings prove we’re starting the year with momentum, growth, and a whole lot of green.

Corpus Christi, TX – Store #119 (Relocation Grand Opening: 1/9)

Store #119 opened following a two‑mile relocation into an area with no specialty grocers and little nearby competition. To get the word out, the team used CTV, radio, and billboards, including new partnerships with local stations like Z95 and billboard placement along Padre Island Drive to help bring shoppers past competing stores.

New Braunfels, TX – Store #187 (Grand Opening: 1/23)

Our New Braunfels, TX location opened in a busy retail center with new development nearby, no specialty grocers, and little competition, including a neighboring HomeGoods that’s one of the busiest in the country. Despite cold weather and adjusted weekend hours, the store saw heavy traffic on Friday as shoppers stocked up ahead of the storm. Inside, grand opening activities kept customers engaged, the prize drawing helped drive Sprouts Rewards signups, and the Tasting Bar was so popular the team sold out of oranges on day one and adjusted sampling for the rest of the weekend.

Haymarket, VA – Store #894 (Grand Opening: 1/23)

Store #894 opened in a highly visible new shopping center and quickly drew customers—even with poor weather conditions. The store operated normal hours on Friday and Saturday, with limited hours on Sunday due to weather, while increased direct mail helped reach shoppers across the area’s more rural and spread‑out communities.

Centereach, NY – Store #830 (Grand Opening: 1/30)

Our Centereach, NY location (our first in the state!) built strong community awareness ahead of opening by supporting local events like National Night Out and Run the Farm. The team also connected with more than 3,500 commuters through a Ronkonkoma train station activation and welcomed community leaders and partners to a Sneak Peek open house featuring store tours and product samples. The official opening was marked with a ribbon‑cutting ceremony attended by a local town council member.

Healthy Seeds 2026

Help Grow Healthier Communities

Nominate a Local School or Nonprofit for a $2,000 ‘Healthy Seeds’ Grant

At Sprouts, we know that building healthy communities starts with access to health, nutrition, and wellness, and our team members play an important role in bringing that mission to life.

This January, the Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation is inviting Team Members to nominate local schools or nonprofits in their community to receive a $2,000 “Healthy Seeds” donation!

Healthy Seeds donations are awarded to support children’s nutrition education programs or efforts to help address nutrition security for kids.

The deadline for submitting a nomination is January 23. Selected organizations will be invited to receive their donation on March 7 during an in-store check presentation, along with the nominating Team Member.

Healthy Seeds grants are funded, in part, by round up donations collected at the register. These donations are invested locally in the community where they are raised, supporting children’s nutrition education programs, including edible garden education, cooking programs, and more.

Making a Difference in the Community:

Austin Anderson, Store #659 – Coconut Creek, FL

Last year, Austin Anderson, Store Manager of Store #659 – Coconut Creek, FL location, nominated a local school in his community.

The school received a $2,000 Healthy Seeds Grant to build a school garden, creating a hands-on learning space for students to plant and harvest fruits, vegetables, and herbs.

“When I started with Sprouts six years ago, I remember learning about how involved the Foundation was in local communities,” Austin shared. “Being able to give back to a school right here in Coconut Creek’s backyard is especially meaningful to me.”

For Austin, the nomination was about creating a lasting impact.

“I wanted to support something with direct impact — something people could experience, and that could make its way back into the store,” he said. “Parents are proud of the garden, and students come home excited to talk about what they planted and grew. Seeing that connection come full circle has been amazing.”

Celebrating Stores #479, #607, #470, #445, #670, #669, and #486!

November was berry busy! Seven new Sprouts stores opened their doors in communities across the country.

Hacienda Heights, CA – Store #479 (Grand Opening: 11/7)

November kicked off on a fresh note in Hacienda Heights! Even though the morning started a little foggy, the energy was anything but cloudy as our team celebrated the grand opening of Store #479. Sprouts CEO Jack Sinclair and Deputy District Director Ryan Serrano joined Store Manager Gary Aquino and the crew to cut the ribbon and welcome our first shoppers. Guests were treated to tote bags packed with goodies and single-stem roses before exploring aisles full of fresh, healthy, and delicious finds. What a bright start for our newest Sprouts community!

Bountiful, UT – Store #607 (Grand Opening: 11/7)

Our Utah roots keep growing! On November 7, we opened our 7th Sprouts store in the Beehive State, and the celebration was nothing short of bountiful. Mayor Kendalyn Harris joined Store Manager Joey Sanders and our incredible team to welcome a crowd of eager shoppers. By 7:30 a.m., all 360 giveaway totes had found happy homes—talk about a fruitful morning! Here’s to bringing fresh, healthy goodness to even more Utah communities.

Fresno-Sunnyside, CA – Store #470 (Grand Opening: 11/7)

The sun may have been hiding, but Fresno-Sunnyside was shining bright on opening day! Reporter Alexis Govea from Fresno Fox26 kicked things off with live coverage and an interview with Store Manager Ryan Ramos. Mayor Jerry Dyer and City Councilmember Brandon Vang joined the ribbon-cutting festivities, presenting Ryan with a special city plaque to welcome Sprouts to the neighborhood. Adding to the excitement, the store donated $5,000 to Clovis South High School, whose cheerleaders brought the energy with spirited cheers. A fresh start, a generous gift, and plenty of community love—what a way to celebrate!

San Leandro, CA – Store #445 (Grand Opening: 11/14)

Rain couldn’t dampen the excitement in San Leandro! Despite heavy showers, more than 475 customers lined up bright and early—by 7 a.m.—to celebrate the grand opening of Store #445. Mayor Juan González, City Manager Janelle Cameron, and other local leaders joined Store Manager Bryce Gonsalves and the team for a spirited ribbon-cutting ceremony. Extra signage and A-frames helped guide shoppers through the drizzle, and the store team is already planting seeds for future community outreach. A little rain, a lot of smiles, and plenty of fresh finds—San Leandro is off to a great start!

St. Petersburg, FL – Store #670 (Grand Opening: 11/14)

The Sunshine City lived up to its name with a bright and bustling grand opening! Over 300 eager guests lined up before doors opened at 7 a.m., ready to explore fresh finds. Mayor Ken Welch joined the ribbon-cutting celebration alongside our amazing team, who were plentiful, attentive, and ready to assist every shopper. A fresh start for St. Pete—and we’re just getting started!

Venice, FL – Store #669 (Grand Opening: 11/14)

Venice rolled out the welcome mat bright and early! Store Manager Scott and the team greeted excited customers at 6:45 a.m., ready to kick off a fresh new chapter. Parking proved a little tricky, but our amazing team—and partners from Encore—stepped up to guide guests and keep things flowing smoothly. Shoppers were thrilled to have Sprouts close to home, with one customer sharing, “I’m so happy I don’t have to drive an hour away to go to Sprouts!” A big win for convenience and community!

Echo Park, CA – Store #486 (Grand Opening: 11/14)

Echo Park made a splash—literally—on opening day! Despite the rain, customers lined up to check out their brand-new Sprouts. Assemblymember Jessica Caloza joined Store Manager Jeremiah and the team for a lively ribbon-cutting celebration. This store brings something extra special: a customizable marquee letter board! The first message? “I yam so thankful for you!” A perfect way to kick off a fresh start in Echo Park.

Taking Care of Your Mental Health this Holiday Season

The holidays are often filled with joy, but let’s be honest—they can also bring stress, anxiety, and even feelings of loneliness. Between family gatherings, financial pressures, and packed schedules, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. That’s why it’s so important to take care of yourself during this time.

Simple Ways to Protect Your Mental Health

  • Prioritize Self-Care: Sleep, exercise, and balanced meals aren’t luxuries—they’re essentials. Give yourself permission to rest and recharge.
  • Set Boundaries: It’s okay to say “no.” Whether it’s declining an extra event or sticking to your budget, healthy boundaries help keep stress in check.
  • Feel Your Feelings: If you’re sad, anxious, or just not feeling festive, that’s okay. Acknowledging your emotions is the first step toward managing them.
  • Find Your Calm: Try deep breathing, meditation, or even a short walk outside. Small moments of peace can make a big difference.
  • Stay Connected: Reach out to friends or family who lift you up. A quick call or coffee chat can help you feel supported.
  • Ask for Help When You Need It: If stress or sadness feels overwhelming, professional support is available—and it works.

Resources You Can Count On

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Free, confidential counseling and support. Learn more here.
  • The Vine – Mental Health Hub: Tips, tools, and articles to help you thrive. Learn more here.
  • Immediate Crisis Support: Call or text 988 anytime for free, confidential help if you’re in emotional distress or experiencing suicidal thoughts.

600 Team Members Volunteer For Day of Service

Over 600 volunteers rolled up their sleeves to help with this year’s annual Day of Service, completing more than 50 projects coast-to-coast. From revitalizing community gardens to packing food boxes, our teams came together to make a meaningful impact in the communities we call home.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s event and showed your care for your community.“I loved participating in this year’s Day of Service at Annalee Elementary with the Garden School Foundation,” said Alisa Gmelich, chief marketing officer at Sprouts. “It was inspiring to see our team members come together to support the Los Angeles community. I’m incredibly proud to be part of an organization that shows up with such heart.”
